The textbook is written in accordance with the requirements of the federal state educational standards of higher education of the third generation. Using a wide range of domestic and foreign sources, it examines the main problems of gerontopsychology: psychological paradigms and theories of aging, personality traits in the late stages of ontogenesis, age-related changes and mental development disorders in old age. Theoretical approaches to psychological work with the elderly and its practical aspects are described, as well as requirements for specialists working in this field.
