The first book devoted to musical broadcasting in Leningrad at the beginning of the war and throughout the blockade contains new data on the famous premiere of Shostakovich's Seventh Symphony and on the work of the symphony orchestra as a whole; recreates a picture of the activities of other (now unfairly forgotten) groups of the Leningrad Radio Committee - a concert ensemble, an ensemble of folk instruments, groups of soloists, a choir.
