In all the sinister literature about the otherworld, there is no other such creature that causes greater horror, disgust and unhealthy interest than Vampire. No other monster attracted such close attention from the recognized masters of this genre, and no other creation from the power of darkness managed to inspire writers and become the hero of so many and outstanding nightmare stories. Our collection was based on a book compiled by Peter Haining, "They Appear at Midnight." In the second part of the book "Dracula Syndrome" - stories by W. Tenn, D. Keller, R. Bloch, G. Kuttner and R. Specht. The story of Vampires is completed by the story of A. K. Tolstoy "Ghoul."
