Grigory Savvich Skovoroda (1722-1794) - Russian and Ukrainian philosopher, fabulist and poet. Engaged in pedagogical activities. Then he spent considerable time wandering through the cities and villages of Little Russia and some Russian provinces. On the road, he talked a lot with his students and ordinary oncoming ones. Therefore, the genre of conversation or conversation occupies a significant place in the creative heritage of Skovoroda. Along with this, the collection includes all the main works of the thinker, in which both the originality of his ethical and theological views and genuine literary talent were clearly manifested. The book also includes a biography of Skovoroda, written by his student Mikhail Kovalinsky.
