An ordinary research expedition in the Congo turned into a real tragedy. First, a group of archaeologists disappeared, then the military sent to their aid. As it turned out, wormholes open in these mysterious places to another world. So Major Maxim Rebrov and his subordinates found themselves in Bolshoi Lesu. An incredible place, completely dotted with gigantic trees, riddles of a disappeared civilization, attempts to return home, betrayal of comrades-in-arms, invasion of the black forest and a real threat to all of humanity - this is just a small list of what earthlings had to go through in this inhospitable reality. The path home was too rocky. In the end, the alien capture of the Earth was prevented, and the Rebrov team managed to establish contact with the Big Forest, which, it turns out, has a mind, albeit different from human. The command sent provisions and weapons from the other side. That's enough to try to deal with the black forest on this side. And no one guessed that a third party to the conflict would soon appear, which would bring complete confusion to the plans of the Popatans.
