The anthology on the history of aesthetics published by the Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the USSR Academy of Arts consists of five volumes. The first volume presents the aesthetic teachings of classical Greece and Hellenism, the medieval aesthetic thought of Western Europe, Byzantium, India, China and Russia, the history of aesthetic thought of the Renaissance.
