This book is a reprint of the work of the largest German scientist Wilhelm Friedrich Ostwald "Farbkunde.," Published in Leipzig in 1923. It was translated into Russian under the title "Color Science" and published by Promizdat Publishing House in 1926. "Color Science" is a book covering the subject most comprehensively: along with the historical and critical outline of the development of the doctrine of colors, it sets out the significant theoretical points of view of Ostwald, his doctrine of harmonic combinations of colors, along with this, practical methods for measuring colors, the physicochemical technology of coloring substances are described in sufficient detail.
