The textbook presents a system of educating an actor based on the legacy of K. S. Stanislavsky and summarizing more than twenty years of practical experience of the author in training actors in the workshop of Professor V. M. Filshtinsky and the workshop of L. V. Gracheva of the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts. In addition, the results of 10 years of activity of the laboratory of psychophysiology of performing arts, created by L.V. Gracheva within the walls of the Academy of Theater Arts (now RGISI) together with the Institute of the Human Brain of the Russian Academy of Sciences, are presented.
