The purpose of the dissertation research is to identify specific features of administrative and judicial practice, existed in Veliky Novgorod during the Swedish rule of 1611-1617. It is necessary, first of all, the study of the Novgorod administrative system of this time, taking into account the historical context of the era, paying particular attention to the elements that made up it, their origin and transformation, as well as the functionality and effectiveness of the management system, which affected, in particular, the nature of relations between the Novgorod administration and Novgorodians.
