Dance music is traditionally considered easier to perceive. But dance genres presented the music world with the ability to get on a par with traditional "serious" genres. Formed in the late Renaissance and Baroque era, the genre of dance instrumental suite, which, at first glance, was a colorful collection of various dances, in its best examples brought music to breathtaking heights. In the book "Dancing with Bach," its author, a practicing violin teacher, presents not only the process of instrumental comprehension of dance texts written by I.S. Bach for violin, but also shows how uncomplicated, at first glance, dance formulas bring Partita's music to the level of comprehension of "eternal" questions: life and death, grief and joy, peace and action, creation and destruction.
