The book explores the military-political side of Augustus' Principate. The main subject of study is the military organization of the young Roman Empire and its functioning, the relationship of the military transformations of Augustus with the foreign policy actions of the new regime. It is proved on a specific material that the emperor and his closest employees developed and persistently implemented the doctrine of the real conquest of world domination. The military aspect of Augustus' dynastic policy is considered. New solutions to a number of problems of the "century of Augustus" have been proposed.
