This book is a translation of the first 9 chapters of the German reference book on radio engineering, published in Germany in 1956 under the editorship of the director of the Institute of Radio Engineering in Munich, prof. X. Meinke and the director of the Institute of Radio Engineering in Berlin prof. F. Gundlach. 38 prominent German specialists took part in the compilation of the book.
