The publication is a short study on the history of the interior, from the ancient world to the design directions of the twentieth century and the present. The manual examines the general laws of evolution of interior and furniture forms, gives a typological classification of buildings, makes an analytical analysis of the interior by components (spatial shape, decor, equipment). The material is located in accordance with the chronology of historical eras and architectural styles adopted in the history of world art culture. Architectural and furniture terms and definitions are given.
