This edition is based on the previous edition of 1962, but has been supplemented and corrected. The translation is re-verified according to the Greek text published by A. Roos, as amended by G. Wirth. The appendix, as in the previous edition, contains the texts of the biography of Alexander, written by Plutarch, and the XVII book of the "Historical Library" by Diodorus of Sicily, devoted almost entirely to the campaign of Alexander. These texts provide important additional information that allows you to more clearly imagine the personality of Alexander in the Roman historical tradition.
