The monograph is devoted to the legal status of Russian emigration to China in the 1920-1940s. The problem is considered in the context of international relations in the Far East and Central Asia. On the basis of rare archival documents and modern methodological approaches, the policy of former Russian diplomats, the Soviet and Chinese leadership in relation to the Russian diaspora was investigated, the specifics of resolving the civil status of its representatives, the political and legal problems of emigration, re-emigration and repatriation of Russian emigrants, and the activities of emigrant organizations were highlighted.
