The book contains over 400 poems extracted from satirical magazines of 1905-1907, as well as from literary and public magazines, almanacs, poetry collections of those years, from metropolitan and provincial newspapers. The book consists of two sections. In the first, along with well-known poets (V. Knyazev, F. Sologub, K. Balmont, Sasha Cherny, K. Chukovsky, Teffi, P. Weinberg, etc.), readers will meet with such authors who have established themselves mainly as satirists and comedians during the first Russian revolution (L. Munstein, V. Likhachev, M. Svobodny in, N. Faleev, O. Chyumina, etc.) The second section contains works whose authors remained unknown.
