The collection is dedicated to the singer of the soldier's feat in the war, the substitute Soviet poet Sergei Sergeyevich Orlov (1921-1977). The first section presents the memoirs of contemporaries about the poet who died prematurely and poems dedicated to him. The second section consisted of unpublished and little-known articles, reviews, notes by Sergei Orlov, as well as poems of different years that were not published both in the poet's lifetime collections and in his posthumous book Kostra.
