The textbook outlines modern approaches to classifying the living conditions of hunting animals in all natural zones of Russia, methods of bonification of animal habitats, reveals the reasons for the unsatisfactory use of hunting resources, proposes a typological basis for their use and methods of regulating hunting, which at the technological level guarantee the achievement of the planned result. A methodology for assessing hunting resources is presented, which allows creating a unified system for the use and accounting of hunting animals based on the principle of autoregulation of the number of animals harvested.
