Space Fiction, based on EVE. Having lived an interesting and eventful life, raised children and survived the death of his wife, the strong-willed and moderately cynical protagonist was kidnapped by black recruiters (in fact, slave traders). At the time of the abduction, the old heart of the protagonist cannot stand it, and the body dies. The mind (or, if you like, the soul) moves into the body of a young man who died during the capture.
