The collection of materials of the Second Krushanov Readings includes reports and messages made at the conference dedicated to the memory of A.I. Krushanov. Academician A.I. Krushanov (1921-1991) is a well-known Far Eastern historian and major organizer of science, who for twenty years headed the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East, who did a lot for the development of the humanities in the Far East. The second Krushanov readings took place in Vladivostok on June 4-6, 2001, they were attended by foreign researchers from the USA, China, Taiwan, Japan and domestic scientists, teachers, graduate students and local historians from St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Blagoveshchensk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and other Russian cities. The book is intended for historians, students, teachers, for all interested in the history of the Far East.
