If Eisenstein's films are not only stored in film archives, but also live on the screens of the whole world, then all his huge literary heritage has not yet been introduced into wide scientific use. To this end, a six-volume collection of selected works by S. M. Eisenstein is being undertaken, where the compilers are faced with the task of outlining all the versatile activities of Eisenstein as one of the founders of socialist culture.
