Hermann Haken, developed an original approach to describing complex macroscopic systems. The relationship between information and self-organization based on the principle of maximum information entropy applied to a wide range of non-equilibrium processes has been comprehensively and innovatively studied. At a qualitatively new level, a synergistic approach to the problem of pattern recognition was considered, and the principles of a synergistic computer were formulated.
