Julius Stockhausen (1826-1906) - an outstanding German singer (baritone), choral conductor, vocal teacher. The Vocal School (Gesangsmethode) was published in 1886. Stockhausen's technique, based on a deep understanding of the physiology of the voice apparatus and the laws of acoustics, as well as describing ways to correctly vocalize the sounds of the German language, is of great interest today for music historians and musicians performers.
