The main sections of the textbook are devoted to the evolution, origin and classification of birds, morphological, functional and environmental adaptations, energy, molting, reproduction, territoriality, behavior, signaling and orientation, migration status and migrations of birds. Particular attention is paid to important areas of ornithology related to the protection of the environment and birds, aviation, medicine, hunting.
