Control Society is a large-scale study by John Fasman, Washington correspondent for The Economist. It is devoted to legal, political and moral problems that inevitably arise in a society where each of us is constantly under surveillance. Facial recognition technologies, automatic license plate readers, flying drones, behavior prediction algorithms all fall into the author's focus, forcing him to think about who might benefit from the massive use of surveillance technologies and how it affects our lives.
