In his new book, the author, candidate of historical sciences, explores events almost a century ago. Much has been written about the events associated with the death of Ataman of the Great Don Army Alexei Maksimovich Kaledin, but on the same plane, and only one version is recognized - suicide. Although there were direct analogies in the statements of people close to him and there are a number of unclear circumstances and indirect data from which a different version is built - a well-organized murder. By whom? The author is trying to find an answer to this question, without accusing anyone in particular, carrying out the reconstruction of the political, social, and military contexts of 1917-1918. For the first time, the book tells about three attempts on A.M. Caledin. The latter led to his death.
