I'm in over my head. But I refuse to give up and insist on staying for the adventure.My life was satisfying and predictable. I teach third grade in a private school in New York City. I spend my weekends and holidays, seeing friends and exploring various hobbies (taking French lessons, cooking classes and volunteering for a gardening club).So when my best friend, Kate, shatters her elbow and begs me to travel to London last minute to organize a wedding, I agree. Even though I'm not particularly romantic or organized.It turns out there are a few things that Kate doesn't tell me. She doesn't tell me her boss will be there or that it's his mother getting married. She probably left these details out because she is desperate for someone to rush in and save the event. Not to mention she's been complaining about her boss for months.Jack is everything she has harped on. He is impossible to work for, demands perfection, and is insanely gorgeous. But when he insists I'm not up to the task, I dig my heels in and insist that I am. Before I know it, I'm taking a leave of absence from teaching and traveling to remote areas to give instructions, solve issues, and lead tours.Now that I've thrown myself into this adventure, I don't think I can leave it all behind.
