The heroes of this collection dedicated their lives, their work to Siberia. They came to Siberia much later than Ermak, S. Dezhnev, but in spirit, in the meaning of their activities, they belong to the pioneers. Such are V. Rimsky-Korsakov and N. Muravyov-Amursky, G. Sarychev and A. Okladnikov.
