The Geopolitics textbook summarizes the main trends, trends and schools of modern geopolitics. A detailed review of the theoretical and scientific origins of geopolitics is given, the process of forming various schools is considered - Anglo-Saxon, Eurasian, coastal. The influence of geopolitical theories and doctrines on political practice can be traced. The links of geopolitical methods with the activities of such influence groups as Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), Trilateral Commission, neoconservatives, neorealists, etc. are analyzed. The newest directions in geopolitics are investigated: neo-Atlanticism, critical geopolitics, geopolitics of space and geopolitics of network processes.
