The monograph is devoted to the history of poetry about science. Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, England, USA, Germany, France, Russia. Russian poetry about science - from Lomonosov to the present day - is considered in particular detail. Based on a specific poetic analysis with extensive citation of foreign and especially Russian poets, including amateur poets-scientists, it is concluded that the nascent lyrics of human science are relevant.
