Today we are faced with physics everywhere - when we are dealing with credit cards, or with watches with quartz stabilization of travel, or with the same television - but it still scares us: with its mystery, huge size and incredible complexity of devices (lasers, particle accelerators, etc.) and the abstractness of theoretical language (group theory, algebras, non-Euclidean geometries). It seems that the stronger physics affects the world, the more distant it becomes from a person. This book proves that this is completely wrong. Physicists retain their aesthetic taste and their understanding of analogies and, despite some historical gap, it is the deep roots that feed the fruits of modern physics, the abstractness of which transforms the eternal images of geometry.
