Twelve chairs The first volume of the collected works of the famous duet included the debut novel "Twelve Chairs," the story "Bright Personality" and the collection of stories "1001 Days, or Scheherazade," as well as the story "The Past of the Registry Office," which was considered an unreleased chapter of the first novel by Ilf and Petrov. As a preface to this volume, an essay by K. G. Paustovsky "The Fourth Strip" is given.
