But this far away from the mother planet, corporations have run amok, and one in particular has exerted a stranglehold on society not seen since the days of Rockefeller's Standard Oil Company of the 1890 Aerotec.Now, society is divided in the well-to do and middle class of the Inner City of New Columbia, and the poor workers of the outer city, most of them slaving away in the massive Mine, and living in wretched slums and government issue apartments.
