The monograph attempted for the first time in Russian historiography in this formulation and chronological framework to show the role and place of Dagestan in the geopolitical and strategic plans of the Ottoman Empire. The wide involvement of Turkish sources and literature made it possible to illuminate new pages in the history of Dagestan-Turkish relations. The book is designed for historians, as well as a wide range of readers.
