1941 forever crashed into popular memory as the blackest year of Russian history, the year of the greatest military catastrophe, crushing defeats and monstrous losses that put the country on the brink of complete destruction. In the mass consciousness, there was only one victory of the 41st - in the battle of Moscow, where the Germans, who previously allegedly did not know failures, were first stopped and thrown west. However, if this victory were the first and only one, the Red Army would hardly have been able to turn the tide of the war. In fact, in the summer and autumn of 1941, Soviet troops inflicted a number of sensitive blows and serious defeats on the Wehrmacht, which are now undeservedly forgotten, remaining in the shadow of the grandiose Moscow battle, but without which there would be no victory near Moscow or the Great Victory.
