The main part of the book is a color catalog of icons, their description, as well as several articles about the Yaroslavl Art Museum. The publication was prepared as part of the project of the State Tretyakov Gallery "Golden Map of Russia" and is a complete catalog of the exhibition "101 Icons from Yaroslavl." The exhibition "101 Icons from Yaroslavl," representing icon paintings of the 17th-18th centuries from the collection of the Yaroslavl Art Museum, was held at the State Tretyakov Gallery as part of the Golden Map of Russia exhibition and publishing project. Currently, the collection of icons of the Yaroslavl Art Museum is more than 2000 monuments of the XIII - early XX centuries. The most significant part of the collection is icons painted during the heyday of Yaroslavl, in the XVII-XVIII centuries. The exhibition "101 icons from Yaroslavl" is dedicated to them.
