The manual reflects the issues of ICE theory, organization and conduct of a measurement experiment and processing of experimental data. Principles of measuring physical quantities are disclosed. Descriptions of test benches for internal combustion engines and measurement equipment used are given. The issues of testing modern transport gas turbine engines used in special military and civilian equipment, and their characteristics are considered in detail. Some areas of improvement of high-speed transport internal combustion engines are presented and their impact on the traction properties of tracked vehicles is shown.
