Julius Baron (1834-1898) - an outstanding representative of German jurisprudence. His fundamental work, The System of Roman Civil Law, determined the development of civil law both in Western Europe and in Russia. The work of Y. Baron is based on the principles of civil law, developed by the centuries-old theoretical and practical activities of Roman lawyers. The text is based on books published in the third edition translated by L. Petrazhitsky (St. Petersburg, 1908-1910).
