The phenomenon of the human couple is considered in the historical aspect and in the context of various sciences - anthropology, sociology and psychoanalysis. The reader will have the opportunity to get in touch with the mental reality of this specific "material," to trace the natural history of a couple, including the most important moments of its evolution, transformation and aging, will plunge into the atmosphere of psychological consultation of suffering couples. A new concept is introduced, a special interdisciplinary object at the intersection of psychoanalysis, sociology and cultural studies - "work of a couple."
