The documents included in this collection are mainly extracted from the affairs of the military department of the naval section of the Leningrad Branch of the Central Historical Archive of the RSFSR and from a number of Bolshevik newspapers of 1917 (Soldier's Truth *, Soldier, etc.), which are currently bibliographic rarity. All other sources of acquisition of the collection (storage facilities of the Leningrad Regional Archival Administration and Moscow Archives) were used in small sizes. With a few exceptions, documents are printed for the first time.
