On July 8, 1994, the heart of the founder and president of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the great leader of the Korean people, Comrade Kim Il Sung, stopped beating. To this grief were added terrible natural disasters: two years in a row of unprecedented flooding, and then drought led to the death of crops and a sharp exacerbation of the food problem. The whole world predicted the near and imminent fall of the "Pyongyang regime" and the destruction of socialism in this country, as happened in the USSR and Eastern European countries.
