The book is devoted to the development of photography from the photographic processes of the first half of the XIX century. and ending with modern methods of photography with their rich capabilities, allowing to register fast processes, various types of electromagnetic radiation, accurately reproduce colored objects, etc. In a popular form, the steps of obtaining a photographic image in a classical photoprocess and on materials are described, not containing silver halides, using the so-called silver-free photography. Shows the prospects for the development of photography.
