Olga Vasilievna Perovskaya (1902-1961) - Soviet children's writer. In 1925, her first and most famous book of short stories, Guys and Animals, was published. This is a series of stories about the eventful life of children - four sisters, daughters of a forester serving in Semirechye. O. V. Perovskaya is also the author of a series of stories and stories about animals: "Extraordinary stories about ordinary animals," "Marmotka" (both 1939), "About piglets" (1941), stories "Island in the steppe" (1934, comp. with G. Zamchalov), "Golden Fleece" (1957, joint with him), "Jan - the eyes of a hero" (1958). Perovskaya's books are informative in nature, distinguished by the entertainment of the plot and a subtle understanding of animal psychology, shown through children's perception.
