A work on the history of Chinese civilization, covering the time from the Neolithic era to the proclamation of the Republic of China in 1912, was created by scientists from Peking University. Each of the four volumes deals with the political and social history, economics, religion, philosophy, science and technology, literature and art of the relevant period.
