On September 1, 1939, German troops invaded Poland, demonstrating to the whole world a new tactic of warfare - blitzkrieg. At the forefront of the main attacks were tank divisions, and Stuka dive bombers at that time attacked the rear of the Polish troops. However, the Polish army was not as backward as it is often represented, and offered fierce resistance to the aggressor.
