The textbook presents various texts in Chinese: with elements of the classical language (Wenyan), in Guangdong dialect and in a language that has been functioning in the social media space in recent decades. Particular attention is paid to the lexical and spelling aspects of the Chinese language, familiarity with which will allow students to read complex hieroglyphic text.
