In Plan 9 from Jesus A Critique of Acharya S' and "The Christ Conspiracy and ", Albert McIlhenny examines one of the most popular contemporary sources for Jesus mythicism and also one of the strangest. While The Christ Conspiracy by D M Murdock (then writing under the pseudonym and "Acharya S and ") has many fans, they obviously possess little in the way of discernment as her odd effort was little more than an anti-Christian screed wrapped in wild conspiracy theorist language. By the time McIlhenny is finished, one will not know whether to laugh at her many bizarre assertions or cry over the fact that so many people think her book reflects actual history.
