Historian-bibliographer, archaeologist, writer Sergei Rudolfovich Mintslov (1870-1933) - a major authority in the study and collection of the old Russian book. In 1911-1912 he published "Review of notes, diaries, memoirs, letters and travels related to the history of Russia and printed in Russian." This bibliographic index, which includes more than 5,000 titles, was the result of many years of work. Mintslov looked through all the main bibliographic manuals, catalogs of antique bukinists, magazines, diocesan and provincial sheets.
