The monograph is devoted to one of the little-researched branches of the traditional everyday culture of Ukrainians - construction rituals. On the basis of a significant array of primary sources (formerly field ethnographic, written), a ritual-ordinary complex was reconstructed, which accompanied the people's housing and economic construction. A significant place in the monographic study is given to the establishment of its semantics, in particular, it will accept fortune-telling related to the choice of building material, place and time boundaries of construction, worldview ideas about the master builder, construction victim, ritual building tree, new-home customs and rituals, and the like.
