Esotericism was formed as a teaching that allows you to know the "inner essence" of things and phenomena in their hidden relationship and ultimate purpose, as sacred secret knowledge that organizes the life of the human soul. These are psychotechnologies of self-alignment of the soul and its connection with the soul of a mentor, or student, or other believer with whom you are in spiritual proximity. Sacred psychotechnologies are inherent in religious institutions, but even there they act as sacraments, for too gentle human strings affect and must be protected from rude, let alone evil interference, from blasphemy.
